This appellation is issued by the Committee on Premiers Grands Crus.
The selection of these Premiers Grands Crus is based on soil and climate criteria and viticultural practices (minimum 6000 stems/ha, manual harvesting).
The grape varieties allowed are Chasselas, Pinot Noir and Gamay. The yieldÂ must not exceedÂ 0.8Â l/m2Â forÂ ChasselasÂ and 0.64 l/m2 forÂ PinotÂ andÂ Gamay. Blending of wines of the same or different origins is prohibited.
